Rome Rock Concerts, summer 2006

Jethro Tull, Roger Waters, Tracy Chapman, Bob Dylan, Depeche Mode, Madonna. Big Rock and Pop stars to enrich your Roman Holiday during summer 2006

Jethro Tull: Rome, 9 May 2006
"Jethro Tull"Towards the end of the 1960s an unknown group called Jethro Tull performed in a historic London club where bands like the Rolling Stones, Joe Cocker and The Who had already played live. A little later, at the 1968 Sunbury festival, they really hit the big time. Since then they have composed songs whose impact is as strong today as it was then.
Ian Anderson (vocals, flute, guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, harmonica), Martin Barre (electric and acoustic guitar; flute), Andrew Giddings (keyboards), Doane Perry (drums; percussions) and Jonathan Noyce (bass), are the members of a band whose talent Italian critics never quite understood but whose fans always have done. Live in Rome.

Roger Waters was the lead singer of Pink Floyd until the band split up in1983 and now has his own solo career. A highly talented bassist and singer, he writes lyrics laden with symbolic and metaphorical elements, as well as very personal stories such as the precocious death of his father at war.
As a soloist his artistry has expressed itself more freely and he has experimented with new sounds and styles, even opera.
